We may use information such as your name and address to send you newsletters and other product and service information that we believe you may find of interest. David Pieris Racing & Leisure (Private) Limited and David Pieris Leisure (Private) Limited, (referred to hereafter as “we”, “us” and “our”) who own and operate Pearl Bay & Sri Lanka Karting Circuit are committed to collect and safeguard your personal information (“you” and “your” include third parties whose personal data you have provided).

By using this website, you acknowledge that you have read and understood the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy as set forth below.

  1. Definitions

    Website means a collection of material relating to our services placed in a computer server-based file archive so that it is publicly accessible, over the internet, which permits us to interact directly with our Customers.

    • Audio and video such as audio recordings of a customer service call or security video footage when you visit our facility.
    • User-generated content such as photos, videos, audio and other information you submit to us

    •  Device information and identifiers such as platform type, device type, browser type and language
    • Connection and usage such as browsing activity, advertisement viewed, search terms, content you view and duration and other similar information.

    Information we collect from social media

    •  Social media information means if you interact with us through social media service or log in using social media credentials, depending on your social media settings, we may have access to your personal information such as name, photos, birthday, friend lists etc. through Google Analytics and Facebook pixel.

  5. Sharing your information with other entities

    The Data Controller will not share your personal information with any other Third Party outside the David Pieris Group, except in limited circumstances as stated below;

    • When you allow us to share your details with another company, so they could send you offers and promotions of their goods and services
    • If we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company, our Customers, or others.
    • When you direct us to share your personal information with another company to fulfill your request, such as when you book dinning reservations through us for the restaurants operated by third parties.

    NOTE: once we share your personal information with another company in any of the above circumstances, the information received by the third party and subject to other company’s privacy practices.

    • When third parties perform services on behalf of us, (delivery, advertising, and customer services) they are prohibited from using your personal information for any other purposes other than those requested by us, by you or required by law. 
    • Under certain circumstances, we may be required to disclose your Personal Data if required to do so by operation of law or by an order of any Court of competent jurisdiction or by any rule or regulation of any statutory, regulatory or governmental authority in response to valid requests by the said authorities.

    Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred through a cloud database – and maintained on – computers located in Singapore Data Centers where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

    If you are located outside Sri Lanka and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to Sri Lanka and process it there.

    Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by your submission of such information represents your agreement to that transfer.

    We will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.
